Katharina Block, PhD
Assistant Professor of Social Psychology, University of Amsterdam
Dr. Katharina Block’s research investigates how gender and cultural beliefs influence the way individuals think about themselves and their self-concept at an explicit and implicit level. She is also the coordinator of the large cross-national collaboration Understanding Communal Orientation in Men (UCOM) that examines how norms, beliefs, values, and policies shape women’s and men’s career interests. Her current work focuses on how gender stereotypes influence men and boys’ communal values and their participation in communal roles.
