Dr. Edward Chang (he/him) is an Assistant Professor of Business Administration in the Negotiation, Organizations and Markets Unit at Harvard Business School. Dr. Chang’s research interests center around diversity, discrimination, and behaviour change. His work has been published in journals such as Nature, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Academy of Management Journal, Management Science, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. The primary goal of his research is to provide evidence-based solutions to managers and organizations wanting to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. He runs large-scale field experiments, analyzes archival data, and conducts online and laboratory experiments to carry out this work. This research aligns with the goals of the ESS consortium as his work is devoted to testing the efficacy of interventions to harness the power of positive social interactions to mitigate subtle gender bias.
