Canada Research Chair in Social Psychology, Simon Fraser UniversityDr. Stephen Wright is internationally recognized for his work examining how cross-group friendships reduce bias in ways that can extend throughout social networks and foster social change. Dr. Wright’s research on how interpersonal interactions can both maintain and undermine negative attitudes and social inequality is directly relevant to the current research agenda. He is a fellow of the Association of Psychological Sciences, the Canadian Psychological Association, the Society for Experimental Social Psychology, and the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues.
