Dr. Nilanjana Dasgupta is a Provost Professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is a world-renowned expert on implicit bias and social psychologically informed interventions. Her research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, and featured in the New York Times, The Atlantic, Boston Globe, NPR, Wired, Slate, among others. Dasgupta’s work has been recognized by the Hidden Bias Research Prize from the Kapor Center for Social Impact in Silicon Valley, the Application of Personality and Social Psychology Award from the Society for Personality & Social Psychology, and by the UMass Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Accomplishments in Research and Creative Activity. She is a fellow of SPSP and SESP. Dasgupta served on the National Academies Committee on Advancing Anti-Racism, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and co-authored a consensus report on evidence-based best practices for STEM organizations nationwide that was published by the National Academies in 2023.
